Building energy modeling/simulation is the process of using a software to build a virtual building and to quantitatively predict the future operation and thus has a considerable value.
Building simulation is commonly divided into two categories:
• Load Design
• Energy Analysis
Load Design to determine air conditioning loads, volumetric air flow requirements, equipment capacities, supply temperatures, plant capacities.
Energy Analysis helps predict the monthly and annual energy consumption, annual CO2 emissions with different design options, in comparison with a baseline building.
